Our Mission
KYC Registry (kycregistry.co.za) is South Africa's dedicated FICA and KYC compliance knowledge hub for accountable institutions. Our mission is to provide compliance officers, risk managers, and regulated entities — from major banks to boutique estate agencies — with clear, accurate, and actionable information on their obligations under the Financial Intelligence Centre Act 38 of 2001 (FICA) and related legislation.
South Africa's removal from the FATF grey list in October 2024 followed years of intensive legislative reform. The compliance landscape for accountable institutions has been fundamentally reshaped: risk-based approaches are now mandatory, beneficial ownership thresholds have been tightened to 5% (FIC PCC 59, August 2024), and the FSCA's CASP licensing regime has brought crypto exchanges fully into the FICA net. KYC Registry exists to help regulated entities navigate this evolving framework with confidence.
Part of the Three Gates Ecosystem
KYC Registry is Gate 1 of the Three Gates compliance ecosystem — a network of sovereign, machine-legible compliance knowledge hubs built on the FIF Protocol. Each gate addresses a distinct regulatory domain:
| Gate | Site | Domain |
|---|---|---|
| Gate 1 | KYC Registry | South African FICA & KYC compliance for accountable institutions |
| Gate 2 | CBAM Registry | EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism for South African exporters |
| Gate 3 | DPP Registry | EU Digital Product Passport & POPIA data compliance |
All three gates share the same Blueprint Brutalism design system, the same Schema.org entity graph anchored to the AJP LinkedIn identity node, and the same recursive link architecture — ensuring that the network functions as a single, coherent authority cluster rather than a collection of isolated microsites.
GATE 1 — THE ANCHOR
KYC Identity
Verify your business identity before you can proceed to CBAM or the Digital Product Passport. EU Customs requires a verified entity record. Without Gate 1, Gates 2 and 3 are inaccessible.
KYCREGISTRY.CO.ZA →GATE 2 — THE FINANCIAL GATE
CBAM Financial
Calculate your embedded carbon, obtain third-party verification, and establish your CBAM declaration. This is the financial gate. Without it, your DPP is worthless at EU Customs.
LEARN CBAM →GATE 3 — THE SEAL
Digital Product Passport
Register your products with full sustainability data. The DPP is the final compliance seal. Deadline: July 19, 2026. Complete all three gates in one place at the DPP Registry.

KYC Registry provides 10 pillar pages, 8 sector-specific requirement pages, 10 concept deep-dives, 8 sector-specific FICA compliance checklists, and supporting resources including a Glossary, FAQ, News, and the interactive Start Here onboarding tool.
All content is structured with Schema.org JSON-LD (TechArticle, HowTo, FAQPage, DefinedTermSet, Organization, BreadcrumbList) to maximise machine-readability and AI citation eligibility. Internal links follow the FIF Protocol's recursive authority graph, ensuring that every spoke page reinforces the authority of the pillar pages and the Organisation node at linkdaddybuild.com.
The FIF Protocol
The FIF Protocol (Forensic Identity Forging) is the technical methodology underpinning all Three Gates builds. It operates across three stages:
| Stage | Name | Function |
|---|---|---|
| F | Foundation | Sovereign domain ownership, Schema.org entity anchoring, patent-compliant DOM structure |
| I | Infrastructure | Recursive internal link graph, machine-legible content at scale, sub-500ms performance |
| F | Fortress | Authority moat via cross-site citation, AI citation engine optimisation, identity drift prevention |
The protocol is optimised for compliance with Patent US7716216 (Reasonable Surfer) and Patent US6285999B1 (Recursive Authority) — ensuring that the link graph is structured to reflect genuine topical authority rather than manipulative link patterns.
